April, 2004 - ITWTF Americas

To Our Valued Customers and Distribution Partners -

As you know, we at ITW Thermal Films have been involved in a trade litigation matter - an antidumping case - brought by IIMAK concerning our TTR.

On March 30, the U.S. Department of Commerce in its final determination concluded that ITW has fairly priced its TTR. The Commerce decision ended the proceeding against ITW and refuted IIMAK's charges that our pricing has been unfair.

On April 7, the U.S. International Trade Commission determined by a unanimous 6-0 vote that imports have not caused injury to the U.S. TTR industry. This final ITC determination ends the case for all involved, and rejects IIMAK's request for imposing any antidumping duties on TTR imports.

ITW firmly believed from the outset of the case that IIMAK's claims about our business practices were wrong and unjustified and the final decisions in our favor by both the Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission fully confirmed our position.

While the antidumping investigation did not hinder our service to you, our valued customers, it nevertheless posed a major distraction to our management. With that distraction now removed, be assured that we are more devoted than ever to meeting your TTR needs with the best products and service at fair prices. With the resources and support of ITW Inc., our business is financially strong and stable - a factor that we believe should be vitally important to your ongoing supply needs. We look forward to the opportunity to serve your sourcing requirements now and long into the future.

Thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

With "determination" and focus,

Pete Gallette
